The Properties Director’s Toolkit C r e a t i v i t y, C o l l a b o r a t i o n, a n d C o m m u n i c a t i o n for Prop Shop Management in the Theatre and Performing Arts Graduating with an MFA in Theatre Technology from UW-Madison (1988) her prolific scenic design and prop career is highlighted by work with Renaissance Theaterworks, Milwaukee Shakespeare, Milwaukee Chamber Theater, Northern Sky Theatre, the Florentine Opera, and Milwaukee Opera Theatre. Lisa Schlenker has been the properties director for Skylight Music Theatre for the past twenty-seven years. Leading the properties production/design curriculum and designing for the mainstage theatre at UW-Milwaukee for the past twenty-seven seasons, Sandra recently retired Professor Emeritus. Strawn has enjoyed over four decades of theatre prop and design experience highlighted by six seasons at Actor’s Theatre of Louisville and five seasons at Milwaukee Repertory Theater.

This thoroughly revised second edition includes interviews with prop directors and collaborators as well as two additional chapters: one exploring more deeply the role of the Properties Director as a creative collaborator and one on managing co-productions.
